Michele McGovern is a native New Orleanian but has been in Texas since 2009. Her entire professional career was spent supporting education and non-profit organizations, primarily through fundraising and eventually in executive management.
Making a difference in her community has always been a focus, professionally and personally. Michele is thrilled to now be able to utilize her deep understanding of non-profits to serve Impact100 Houston. As a founding member, she immediately volunteered to serve as a FAC Co-Chair and has since also joined the Grant Review Committee. Her membership in and work with Impact100 have perfectly blended her professional expertise with her desire to help Houstonians thrive.
Michele is happily married for more than 30 years, the proud mother of two young men, and working to train her two rescue dogs (again!). When she’s not volunteering, Michele loves reading, cooking, being outdoors, and traveling.
