Born and raised in Katy, Texas, Kelly attended Texas A&M University, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. She then moved to Houston and began her career, over two decades ago, with Ryan, LLC. She is currently a Principal in the Houston office of Ryan, a leading global tax services firm with the largest indirect tax practice in North America. She provides multi-jurisdictional transaction tax services to clients in the high-tech, semi-conductor and general manufacturing/retail industries. She is a member of the Institute of Professionals in Taxation, an instructor for the Council on State Taxation and a member of the Texas A&M Chancellor’s Century Council.
Kelly is active in her neighborhood community. She is currently serving on the West University Elementary PTO board (previously served as President), she is a member of the Parish Council for St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, and she has served as chair of Fathers and Flashlights, which benefits West U Parks and Recreation.
Outside of work, Kelly and her husband are busy raising five children, who are in all stages of life – from elementary to college. During her free time, she loves to read, cheer on her Aggies, play Mahjong and explore National Parks.
