Press Release – Impact100 Houston to Award $252,000 to Local Nonprofits

Houston, TX – Impact100 Houston, a local women’s philanthropic organization, is pleased to announce its second Membership Drive has successfully concluded with a total of 252 members. Impact100 Houston will give back $252,000 in grants to nonprofit organizations serving Harris County on November 2, 2022.

Impact100 Houston launched in October 2020, and this will be its second year awarding grants to local nonprofits. The mission of Impact100 is to bring together at least 100 women, who each donate $1,000, and collectively grant a minimum of $100,000 to a local charity.

“Raising $252,000 in our second year is a testament to the generous and caring spirit of Houston,” shares Jessica Graham, president of Impact100 Houston. “With a growing number of nonprofit organizations applying for funding this year, we are thrilled to grow our impact by offering more than one transformational grant to help the community.”

The grants will be awarded to nonprofits serving Harris County in five focus areas: Arts & Culture; Education; Environment; Family; and Health & Wellness. Due to the overwhelming response to the second annual Membership Drive, Impact100 Houston will be able to give away a $100,000 grant to two charities that receive the most member votes, and grants of $17,333 to each of the remaining finalists.

Through Impact100 chapters worldwide, thousands of women have joined together to donate more than $105 million to strengthen their local communities. Houston’s thriving philanthropic community is the ideal location for an Impact100 chapter, and the chapter is committed to serving as a powerful force for good, helping to unite and uplift the city during these challenging times.
