In late 2019, friends Jessica Graham and Alexandra Inman decided they wanted to partner together to promote social change in Houston. The pandemic and social unrest of 2020 created a sense of urgency, and they became more determined than ever to find a way to spread positivity. They found inspiration in the community engagement that they saw in collective giving organizations, including Impact100. After presenting Karina Amanullah with their idea, she was moved to join them and, in August 2020, the three founded Impact100 Houston.
The cofounders are deeply grateful to the amazing women who shared advice and answered seemingly endless questions to aid in the launch of Impact100 Houston. Today, Impact100 Houston is an anti-racist 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that includes a diverse local group of women of all ages, stages in life, income levels, and backgrounds.
