The Member Directory and Your Neighborhood Community Are Live

Find Your People: The Member Directory and Your Neighborhood Community Are Live

Two new ways to connect with the women you give alongside, and the steps to turn both on.

Community is one of the biggest reasons women join Impact100 Houston, and until now it has mostly lived at our three big events. Two new features in MemberLeap change that. The member directory lets you see who else is in this with you, and Communities connect you with the members who live near you.

Both live behind your member login at impact100houston.org, both are open to paid members for the 2026 grant year, and the directory takes about five minutes to turn on.

Part 1: Turn on your member directory listing

The directory is opt in. Nothing about you appears until you check one box, which means the directory is only as useful as the number of us who say yes.

Step 1. Log in and open your profile

Log in at the top right of impact100houston.org. On your Member Dashboard, look for PROFILE & ACCOUNT in the My Account box and click Change Contact/Profile Info.

The Profile and Account panel on the Member Dashboard, showing the Change Contact/Profile Info link.
Your Member Dashboard. Start with Change Contact/Profile Info.

Step 2. Scroll to Your Impact And Involvement

Your Member Profile opens at the top with your name and address. Keep scrolling, past the question about how you first learned about Impact100 Houston, until you reach the section headed Your Impact And Involvement.

The top of the member profile form showing name, address, and city fields.
The Member Profile opens here. Keep scrolling.
The Your Impact And Involvement section of the member profile with the directory box unchecked.
Scroll to Your Impact And Involvement. The first box is the one that matters.

Step 3. Check the box

The box reads “Would you like to connect with other Members in the Member Directory?”

Checking it displays your name, employer, title or profession, your About Me, and your email address to other Impact100 Houston members. Access is limited to members for the current membership year, so this is not public and it is not searchable on the open web.

The same section with the directory box checked in blue and All In selected below it.
This is the box. Check it, and you are in the directory.

Step 4. Answer two more questions while you are there

Just under the box, “How would you like to make an impact?” lets you tell us how you want to spend your year, from All In, meaning you plan to review grants, attend events, and vote, to something lighter. We use those answers to plan, so an honest one helps us more than a generous one.

Below that is a list of committees. Checking one only means you would like to hear more, and it does not sign you up for anything.

Step 5. Decide about recurring membership while you are here

At the bottom of the same form is a section headed Let Your Impact Continue To Grow with a single box for Recurring Membership. Checking it authorizes Impact100 Houston to bill you automatically on your annual renewal date, so your membership carries into the next grant year without you thinking about it. You can change that choice at any time.

This is the easiest thing you will do all year.

The Let Your Impact Continue To Grow section with the Recurring Membership box checked, above the Submit button.
The last section of the form. Recurring membership renews you automatically, and you can turn it off whenever you like.

Step 6. Submit

Click Submit at the bottom of the form. Your directory listing appears right away.

Part 2: Use the directory

From the left menu, choose Members, then Member Directory.

The left navigation menu with Members expanded to show Member Directory.
The directory lives under Members in the left menu.

To see everyone, click Search without filling anything in. To narrow it down, the search gives you a few useful ways in:

The Member Directory search page with keyword, zip radius, communities, and employer fields.
Click Search with no criteria to see every member who has opted in.

Part 3: Find your neighborhood Community

Communities grew out of our Ambassador program. Ambassadors lead small areas of town and host casual get-togethers close to home: a coffee, a walk, a happy hour, a mahjong table, or a carpool to an Impact100 Houston event so you walk in with a friendly face beside you.

Communities is the tool that makes those groups easier to run. Inside yours you can:

You are already in. Every member is placed in the Community tied to her ambassador, so there is nothing to sign up for. You can change how often you hear from your group, or opt out, from inside the Community.

How to get there

From the left menu, choose Engagement, then Communities. Find your area in the list and click Enter Communities area to see your ambassador, your neighbors, and any posts.

The left navigation menu with Engagement expanded to show Communities and Elections.
Communities lives under Engagement.
The Communities page listing neighborhood groups, each with an Enter Communities area button.
Our neighborhood Communities, listed alphabetically. Click Enter Communities area to join the conversation in yours.
