Impact100 Houston Press Release – 100 Members Strong

IMPACT100 HOUSTON REACHES INITIAL GOAL OF 100 MEMBERS STRONG; DEMAND FOR NONPROFIT SUPPORT PROVIDES OPPORTUNITY FOR MORE MEMBERSHIP GROWTH

HOUSTON (May 2021) – In just a few short months since its launch, the Houston Chapter of Impact100, a 501c3 nonprofit organization that exists to empower women to award large grants that transform lives in their local communities, has reached its initial goal of 100 members strong.

The mission of Impact100 is to recruit at least 100 women, who each donate $1,000, and collectively the chapter grants a minimum of $100,000 to a local charity. However, with over 90 local nonprofit applications for the Impact100 Houston grant, the Houston chapter is leaving their recruitment open through June 30, 2021.

“Reaching our $100,000 goal has been such an amazing achievement,” shares Jessica Graham, president of Impact100 Houston. “But we know the community needs us now more than ever, and our new goal is to keep spreading the word about Impact100 Houston so that we can recruit 150 more women by the end of June — a feat no other Impact100 chapter has achieved in their first year. If anyone can make that happen, it’s our passionate philanthropic Houston community!”

Through Impact100 chapters worldwide, thousands of women have joined together to donate almost $80 million to strengthen their local communities. Houston’s thriving philanthropic community is the ideal location for an Impact100 chapter, and the chapter is committed to serving as a powerful force for good, helping to unite and uplift the city during these challenging times.

Impact100 Houston founding board members include a variety of local women leaders eager and excited to make a difference in the community through giving. Co-founded by Jessica Graham, Alexandra Inman and Karina Amanullah, the chapter is currently recruiting members who are passionate about the opportunity to be a part of this unique organization.

The Impact100 Houston chapter has begun reviewing grant applications, and will bestow the grants to local nonprofits at their Annual Awards Celebration in November of this year.
