Impact100 Houston, a local women’s philanthropic organization, is pleased to announce its five 2023 nonprofit finalists: 

These outstanding organizations will receive $245,000 in grants from Impact100 Houston at its Annual Awards Celebration on November 8, 2023 when members will vote to determine which two organizations will receive $100,000 grants and which three will receive $15,000 grants.

Since its launch in 2020, Impact100 Houston members have personally donated a total of $685,000 to be awarded in grants to local nonprofit organizations. The mission of Impact100 is to bring together at least 100 women, who each donate $1,000, and collectively grant a minimum of $100,000 to a local charity.

“Congratulations to our five nonprofit finalists — and thank you for the work you do every day to strengthen our community,” shares Jessica Graham, co-founder and president of Impact100 Houston. “Now in our 3rd year of grantmaking, we are also grateful to the over 100 members who volunteered to participate in the grant review process. These women worked diligently over several months to review more than 120 grant applications from nonprofit organizations serving Harris County.”

The grants will be awarded to nonprofits serving Harris County in five focus areas: Arts & Culture; Education; Environment; Family; and Health & Wellness. Due to the success of the third annual Membership Drive, Impact100 Houston will be able to give away a $100,000 grant to two charities that receive the most member votes, and grants of $15,000 to each of the remaining finalists.

Through Impact100 chapters worldwide, thousands of women have joined together to donate more than $123 million to strengthen their local communities. Houston’s thriving philanthropic community is the ideal location for an Impact100 chapter, and the chapter is committed to serving as a powerful force for good, helping to unite and uplift the city during these challenging times.
